HomeFriends Relationship QuestionsWhat makes a strong friendship?
Rila Thomas Staff asked 5 months ago
My friend Sarah and I have been friends since last year. So far we do not have any arguments and everything is going fine but I'm worried that things might change in the future. Can you give me some advice on how to keep our friendship strong?

A strong friendship is built on trust, mutual respect, and communication. Friendships can be tested during tough times, but if you've established a solid foundation, your friendship will weather any storm. Good communication is key to maintaining a strong friendship. If you're ever feeling upset or frustrated, talk to your friend about it. They may not be aware of how you're feeling, and honest communication can help prevent misunderstandings. Trust is another important element of a strong friendship. If you can't trust your friend, the friendship will be difficult to sustain. Lastly, mutual respect is essential. If you don't respect your friend, it will be hard to see them as an equal. Building a strong friendship takes time and effort, but it's worth it. Sarah, I'm confident that your friendship will withstand anything that comes your way. Thanks for asking!
