HomeRomantic Relationship QuestionsWhat is the difference between dating and being in a relationship?

I asked my friends this question, and they all gave me different answers. One said that you're only dating if you haven't said "I love you" yet, while another said that you're in a relationship as soon as you start sleeping together. I'm so confused! Can you help me out?

The main difference between dating and being in a relationship is that people in a relationship are usually exclusive with each other, while people who are just dating may not be. People in a relationship typically feel more committed to each other and may see each other as a long-term partner, while people who are just dating may be more casual and might not see each other as potential future partners. Hope this helps!
