I tend to doubt myself a lot. Whenever I have a disagreement with someone, I start to second-guess myself and wonder if maybe I'm wrong. This has led to me being gaslighted by people in the past, and it's something that I really struggle with.
I know that I need to work on building up my self-confidence, but I'm not sure where to start. Can you give me some advice?
One of the best ways to avoid being gaslighted is to be aware of your own feelings and needs. If you know what you're feeling and why it will be harder for someone else to convince you that you're wrong. It's also important to trust your gut instinct. If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.
If you find yourself in a situation where you're being gaslighted, try to stay calm and assertive. Don't let the other person control the conversation or make you doubt yourself. Stick to your guns and don't back down from what you believe. And if all else fails, don't hesitate to walk away from the situation.
