During the pandemic, I have been hearing more about "taking care of oneself" more often. I am personally a workaholic individual and tend to forget my own well-being when things get hectic. I find that I'm not the only person struggling with this, as many of my friends have expressed similar difficulties. I am wondering if there is any advice that could help me (and others) remember to take care of ourselves amidst all the stress and chaos?
One of the best pieces of advice I've heard is to "treat yourself like you would treat a good friend." This means being patient, understanding, and forgiving with yourself – especially when things are tough. Additionally, it's important to make time for activities that make you happy and help you relax. This could be anything from reading, going for walks, or taking a yoga class. By making self-care a priority, you'll be better equipped to handle whatever life throws your way.
