I am just now in a long-distance relationship and I am not sure what the challenges are yet. I have heard that it is hard to keep the relationship going when you are not able to see each other often. I am hoping to learn more about how to make it work and stay connected.
One of the biggest challenges you may ever have in a long-distance relationship is the feeling of loneliness when your partner is not around. It is important to find ways to connect on an emotional level, even when you are physically apart. Another challenge can be jealousy, especially if one of you is seeing other people. It is important to trust each other and have faith that the relationship will survive the distance. It can be difficult to maintain a long-distance relationship because you are not able to see each other often. You have to make a concerted effort to stay connected, whether that means talking on the phone, sending emails or texts, or even using Skype or FaceTime.
