HomeLong Distance Relationship QuestionsMy long-distance partner wants to meet in person, but I’m not ready. What should I do?
Roy Murray asked 5 months ago
My partner and I have been dating for six months and we live in different states. He's been talking about meeting in person, but I'm not sure if I'm ready yet. I'm worried about what will happen if we meet in person and it doesn't work out.

If your long-distance partner wants to meet in person, but you're not ready, what you can do is talk to them about it. Clarify your concerns and let them know what you're thinking. They might be willing to wait a little longer, or they might have some ideas about how to make the meeting more comfortable for you. Either way, it's important to communicate with your partner and come to a decision that works for both of you. Take note, you have to be careful in explaining. Otherwise, it might get lost in translation and your partner might think you're not interested in meeting up with him/her.
