The entire company that I work for is planning for a big outing next month and everyone is required to attend. It's a lot of money to pay for the ticket, and I don't really know anyone in the company well enough to justify spending the money. Is it worth it to go?

Attending company outings can be a great way to build relationships with your colleagues and get to know them on a personal level. However, it is not required or expected that you attend every company outing. If you are not comfortable with spending the money or do not think you will enjoy the event, it is perfectly acceptable to decline. Just be sure to express your thanks for the invitation and let your boss know that you appreciate being included.
