HomeRomantic Relationship QuestionsIs it good to have arguments with your partner?
Roy Murray asked 1 month ago

Jules and I got married and we never really argued about anything, but now we're divorced. I'm not sure if it's because we never communicated about our problems or if it never really mattered to us. Do you think that having arguments is healthy for a relationship?

It's actually quite normal and healthy for couples to argue from time to time. Arguments can help couples air grievances and communicate about important issues. However, it's important that arguments are respectful and constructive. This means avoiding personal attacks and trying to understand your partner's perspective.

If you're able to argue in a respectful and constructive way, it can actually help to strengthen your relationship. It shows that you're both committed to working through differences and that you're willing to compromise. So, don't be afraid to have the occasional argument with your partner. Just make sure that you're doing it in a way that's positive and productive.
