HomeSelf Relationship QuestionsI tend to be a people-pleaser and it’s causing me a lot of stress. How can I stop doing this?
Roy Murray asked 5 months ago
I always put other people's needs before my own and it's starting to take a toll on my mental health. I say yes to everything, even when I really don't want to do it, and I always put others first. This is starting to cause me a lot of stress and anxiety, and I don't know how to stop. Advice please?

Oh, I completely understand where you're coming from! It can be really tough to say no to people, especially when you're a people-pleaser. But it's important to remember that you cannot make everyone happy all the time, and that's okay. The most important thing is that you're happy and healthy. So, next time someone asks you to do something that you really don't want to do, try saying no. It might be difficult at first, but it will get easier with practice. And if you're ever feeling overwhelmed by everything you have to do, make sure to take some time for yourself and do something that relaxes you. We can't pour from an empty cup, so make sure to take care of yourself first and foremost!
