HomeProfessional Relationship QuestionsHow to raise a promotion?
Rila Thomas Staff asked 5 months ago
I've been working at my current job for about two years now and I'm starting to feel like I'm stagnating. I'm not being challenged and I'm not sure if there are any opportunities for advancement. I'd like to raise the issue with my boss, but I don't want to come across as entitled or ungrateful. What should I do?

It's perfectly normal to want to advance in your career. If you feel like you're stuck in a rut, then it might be time to have a discussion with your boss. However, it's important to approach the topic in the right way. Start by asking if there are any opportunities for advancement or growth at your current company. If not, explain why you think you deserve a promotion. Be specific about your accomplishments and explain how you've contributed to the company. If your boss is not open to the idea of giving you a promotion, then you might have to start looking for a new job.
