I recently lost a family member and I find myself struggling to cope. I know that grief is a process, but I'm not really sure what I should be doing. Are there any "rules" for grieving?
There are no hard and fast rules for grieving, as everyone copes with loss in their own way. However, there are a few things that might help you through the process. First, allow yourself to feel all of your emotions. It's okay to be angry, sad, or even happy. Second, talk about your loved one as often as you need to. This can be with friends, family, or even a therapist. Finally, try to find some positive ways to remember your loved one. This could be through photos, stories, or anything else that brings you comfort. Grieving is never easy, but know that there is no right or wrong way to do it.
