HomeProfessional Relationship QuestionsHow do I know if my job is the right fit for me?
Rila Thomas Staff asked 2 months ago

Because of the pandemic, I had no choice but to not pursue my passion which is teaching. Many people have told me that I would be good at it because of my people skills and my bubbly personality.

But then schools shut down and I had no choice but to look for a career alternative. That's why I am working as a virtual assistant. But I don't know if this is the right job for me. I'm not sure if I'm cut out for a career that doesn't involve working with people face-to-face.

And I am still afraid to go out because of the health threats going on.

There's no easy answer to this question. Ultimately, you'll just have to figure out what works best If you're feeling unhappy or unchallenged in your professional life, it might be time to consider a change.
It's important to evaluate your current situation and see if there are any potential improvements that could be made. If you're not sure if your job is the right fit for you, here are a few questions to ask yourself:

  • Do you enjoy going to work?
  • Do you feel like you're making a difference?
  • Do you feel valued and appreciated?
  • Do you have a good work/life balance?
  • Do you feel like you're learning and growing?

If you can't answer yes to most of these questions, it might be time to start looking for a new job. Don't be afraid to explore different options and take some risks. You never know what might be a good fit for you until you try it.
