HomeSelf Relationship QuestionsHow do I deal with self-doubt?
Roy Murray asked 5 months ago
I always worry that I'm not good enough. Whenever I make a mistake, it feels like confirmation that I'm terrible at everything and that everyone else was right to doubt me. It's hard to keep going when I feel like this, but I know that it's important to stay positive and keep pushing forward. Is there a way for me to deal with self-doubt?

There are a few things that you can do in order to deal with self-doubt. Understand that everyone makes mistakes and that everyone has moments of doubt. What separates successful people from those who don't achieve their goals is how they handle these moments. When you make a mistake, don't dwell on it or allow it to define you. Learn from it and move on. It can also be helpful to remind yourself of your accomplishments. When you're feeling doubt, take a step back and look at all that you've achieved. This will help you to see that you are capable of great things, despite any mistakes that you may have made.
