HomeRomantic Relationship QuestionsHow do I approach an ex-boyfriend?
Roy Murray asked 2 months ago

So, there is this college reunion and of course, my ex will be there. We were together for four years and broke up on bad terms. I have not seen him since then but we do keep in touch occasionally through social media. I want to approach him and talk to him but I don't know how. What should I do?

Approaching an ex can be tricky, but if you take it slow and easy, it can be done. First, assess why you want to talk to him. Is it to rekindle the relationship? Just to be friends? Once you know your intentions, it will be easier to gauge how to approach him. If you just want to catch up and chat, then act like you would with any other old friend. Ask about his life, what he's been up to, etc. And take the conversation from there. If you're interested in getting back together, then you'll need to tread more carefully. Start off by casually asking how he's been and build up from there.
