HomeSelf Relationship QuestionsHow do I address my past trauma?
Rila Thomas Staff asked 1 month ago

I am a victim of emotional abuse and I have a lot of trauma as a result. I have been in therapy for a while, but I still struggle with my mental health. I sometimes feel like the trauma is too much to handle. How do I address my past trauma?

It sounds like you have been through a lot. One thing that might help you to address your past trauma is to talk about it with someone who you trust and who will understand what you are going through. This could be a therapist, counselor, friend, or family member. Talking about your experience can help you to process it and start to heal from it. You might also find it helpful to join a support group for people who have experienced similar things. Being around others who understand what you are going through can be very helpful.
