HomeFriends Relationship QuestionsHow can I repair a broken friendship?
Rila Thomas Staff asked 5 months ago
It has been three months since I last spoke to my best friend. We used to be so close, but we had a huge falling out and I don't know how to repair it. I've tried calling her, texting her, and even emailing her, but she's not responding. I really miss her and our conversations. What can I do to get her to respond and repair our friendship?

The first step is to try reaching out to your friend again. This time, instead of calling, texting, or emailing, try sending a handwritten letter or card. In the letter, apologize for whatever role you played in the falling out, and express how much you miss her and value your friendship. If you don't hear back from her, give her some time. reach out again in a few weeks or months. In the meantime, focus on other friends and activities that make you happy.
