My partner has an ex that they are still friends with, and I am having a hard time dealing with it. I feel like I am always second best, and I don't know how to handle the situation.

Well, first of all, I am sorry that you have to deal with his ex. I know it can be a tough situation. If it makes you feel any better, you are not alone. A lot of people have to deal with their partner's ex at some point in the relationship. One thing that you can do is talk to your partner about how you're feeling. Let them know that you're uncomfortable with the situation and see if they are willing to make any changes. For example, maybe your partner can limit the amount of time they spend with their ex or stop talking to them altogether. Another thing you can do is try to build a relationship with the ex yourself. This may be difficult, but it can help you feel more secure in the relationship. If you can become friends with the ex, then you will know that you have nothing to worry about. Lastly, if you are still struggling to deal with the situation, you can always talk to a therapist or counsellor. They can help you manage your feelings and give you more advice on how to deal with the situation.
