I am struggling in my relationship because I don't love myself. I know that I need to work on this before anything else, but I'm not sure where to start.

One of the best pieces of advice I've heard is to "treat yourself like you would treat a good friend." This means being patient, understanding, and forgiving with yourself. You would never berate or mistreat a friend, so don't do it to yourself! Additionally, it's important to focus on your good qualities – both inside and out. Make a list of things you like about yourself and refer to it when you're feeling down. Lastly, don't forget to be kind to yourself – this is not your fault and you are not alone.
